Dick Huseman photo

Richard C. Huseman, Ph.D.

Founder, CEO & Coach

Dick Huseman is a consultant, executive coach and professional speaker. He builds upon his years of university experience (having served as a professor, department head and dean) as well as his varied corporate experience (including serving as the Global Manager for Executive Knowledge and Education for a Fortune 50 corporation). He has authored 13 books and written more than 100 articles and professional papers for journals and for national and international professional meetings. In addition, Dick draws on his years of experience as an independent board director where he has served on audit committees and has chaired compensation and human capital committees. He was the founding editor of the Corporate Knowledge Center at the University of Southern California.

Chief Medical Officer & Senior Physician Coach

Dr. Craig Miller is president of KCM Consulting in Pensacola, Florida. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Physician Services for the Camden Group, a health care consulting company in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Miller has also served as Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs at Baptist Health Care where his responsibilities included clinical quality improvement, physician relations and recruitment, as well as overall responsibility for development of the physician leadership program. During his tenure, Baptist Hospital, Inc. was awarded the 2003 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in healthcare. Dr. Miller co-authored The Physician As Coach: The Awakening with Dick Huseman during his tenure at Baptist Health Care and the Baptist Leadership Institute. Dr. Miller has also led the development of hospitalist programs in hospitals throughout the country. He has been a champion for physician leadership development in his role as a consultant.

Chief Operations Officer & Global Marketing Executive

Gail H. Johnson has 35 years of leadership experience in both the private and public sectors, including several years as a Program Executive with the Walt Disney World Company (WDW) and Chief Final Acceptance Officer for the Disney Cruise Lines ("Disney Magic"). He also served as Team Leader on a high-profile specialty task-force in a "Business Process Re-Engineering" (BPR) effort for WDW on "Increased Guest Satisfaction & Cost Reduction Initiatives." Also, Gail was employed by Orlando philanthropist Alan Ginsberg, as Vice President of Contract Services for CED/Concord Management in Central Florida. While his specialty is creating/streamlining processes and leadership tools for executive management, his greatest strength has been in the role of a hands-on coach & leader for many corporations, by "coaching not managing people to successful results." Gail earned his Business Management Degree at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida while working with the Walt Disney Company.

Zulema "Zu" Seguel is the co-founder of Executive Development & Education and has worked with Dick Huseman for over 12 years. She is the director of our Orlando-based operations and is responsible for the coordination of most of our corporate coaching initiatives including the facilitation of our online assessment tools. Zu is a major contributor to most of our published materials including several of our more recently published books. She received her undergraduate degree from Stetson University and has continued her graduate work at the University of Central Florida.

Kathleen Edwards

Performance Coach

Kathy Edwards is an organizational development consultant and executive coach with 15 years of management experience in both the public and private sectors; including leadership positions in local governmental agencies, not-for-profit federations and commercial enterprises. While her professional interests encompass the entirety of the field of human resources, she is particularly interested in the effect managers have on the performance of their employees. Kathy earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Central Florida in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and her Bachelor�s degree in Criminal Justice at the University of South Florida. In addition to operating her consulting practice, Kathy currently works as a consultant in the executive leadership program of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
